Hi! I'm so happy you want to know more.
My name is Caity Cutter, and I happily attend Frankfurt International School in Oberusel, Germany, where I am currently in the 6th grade. I am incredibly fortunate to love school and have access to a wealth of opportunities beyond the basics. One of the most impactful programs at my school is the Changemaker program, which culminates in an annual conference. This program provided me with a platform to dedicate my time and energy to a charity I discovered in an unexpected place—at church.

In 2018, while at church, I noticed a certificate in a toilet cubicle stating that the toilet was "twinned" with one in Africa. Curious about what this meant, I researched and learned about Toilet Twinning, an organization that builds toilets for people in need around the world.

I was shocked to discover that 1.7 billion people in our global society lack access to a safe place to go to the toilet. This is something most of us take for granted, but for many, the absence of basic sanitation has severe repercussions. Watching a video on the impact of inadequate sanitation, especially on girls and women, opened my eyes to the harsh realities faced by many.

Motivated to make a difference, I set a personal challenge to twin 100 toilets, which I accomplished in just 8 months. Building on this success, I established a Service Club at my school, which is now working on building school toilet blocks. Additionally, I mentor other changemakers, focusing on broader issues of access to sanitation and hygiene. I'm extremely fortunate to be mentored by Prof Dr Jack Sim of the World Toilet Organisation.
